Palliative Treatment:
Palliative treatment demotes to means for reduction of increased doshas for curing the disease or decreasing its signs indications. It contains of following Ayurvedic treatment processes:
a) Sneha karma or use of oily substances externally for massage etc. or internally.
b) Sweden karma.
c) Yoga
d) Surya Namaskar.

Purification Treatment:

c) Basti, which is also known as enema.
d) Nasya or nasal medication
e) Blood-letting is the fifth method in Panchakarma.
Other forms of Ayurvedic Treatment:
a) Fasting
b) Urine therapy
c) Rejuvenation therapy
d) Fish treatment (for asthma)
e) Ayurvedic Mental therapy for sickness
In Ayurveda, the categories of medicines based on the source, from which they are achieved, are classified as follows:
1. Plant and natural herbs.
2. Metal and mineral medicines extracted naturally from earth crust
3. Herb mineral preparations - which are a combination of both herbs and minerals.
